Museum of English Rural Life  has a new exhibition. I've seen a few sewing machines in there but had no idea they have a huge collection. https://merl.reading.ac.uk/blog/2023/01/an-introduction-to-the-barnett-project/

I expect the Fearnaught was so named to imply a sturdy machine that will sew through anything.
Janome M50QDC - "Jane" - Small, cute and hard working. Pfaff Quilt Ambition 630 - "Pfanny" - Pfickle. Bernina L450 - "Bernie" - Very hungry. Bernina 830 Record - "Becky"

Ooohh!  I'd never heard of this place but its location, bang in the middle of Reading, is an odd choice for a museum of rural life ;-)

@HenriettaMaria Reading University started out as an agricultural college. Even 50 years ago this was a thriving agricultural area. Free to enter, if you're ever anywhere near it's worth a visit.
