@Flobear @Stitches and anyone else who has done a lone star or similar.
Do you have any tips or tricks for dealing with the bulk when joining the diamonds together to get a tidy centre?

Get a lovely tutor who runs workshops to help you  ;)

As far as I know sewing up to 1/4" from the points should enable you to bash press the tips in enough different directions to avoid too much lumpage. Mine are not a shining example despite the assistance I had!
