You must be creating scraps as quickly as you use them @Ellabella  :D My scrap box is looking rather empty, but if I work on the other scrap quilt, which needs hour glass blocks then I’ll probably end up with a few more bits and I can probably use small non-scraps. Fabric only goes in my box if it’s really quite tiny ( probably under 6” square or long and thin)

I don’t think mine will count as a scrappy quilt but I had delighted these pieces to the scrap box because I hated the way it greyed. It is also left overs from a cushion I made.

What’s amazing me is that after making 26 6.5” blocks and having strips cut for at least another 10 blocks, the scrap box doesn’t look any emptier.

@Ellabella Tell me about it!

Well this is something like it.  The HST blocks are on the small size so need to increase the size ::thinks::

Four strips of blocks ready for QAYG.  I'll be doing the method that doesn't have sashing at every join.  The sashing, where I want it, is already incorporated into the pieced strips

Next task will be to investigate the available wadding.  I have a large chunk of bump (curtain interlining) which DD gave me.  It is very similar to wadding but if it's not quite big enough I'll have to add in a bit of regular wadding.  It won't notice once finished - and it's supposed to be scrappy and wonky.

I'm beavering away at my blocks, here's a sample  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  . I now have 22 out of 36  :faints: I'm hoping to find enough dark fabrics to make sashing and odd coloured bits for cornerstones.
I'm off to look to see if I have enough light blues for a couple of blocks........ :sew:
