I've been practicing with HST to make a cushion cover. I thought to use up some dressmaking scraps from years ago but am not sure I like what I've made. It's only for a cushion in my sewing room so no big deal but even so it won't be my favourite.

@Bjay Any chance you could cut out a neat square around the burn and find an off cut to replace it with …… or swap it with a cut out from a hidden corner of the room?

@Bjay   I feel for you as I did the same on our carpet and everyone remarked on it as they walked into the room  :hug:

@Bjay   :hug:

I cut out the backing and wadding strips from the measurements it should be with 8" (finished) blocks and it's short by a couple of inches  :scream:  It is scrappy and wonkey so I'll do the QAYG to within a couple of inches of the end and then add an extra horizontal strip of backing  to make up the difference.  Squeezing enough wadding from the excess will be a challenge but I am determined not to buy anything towards this project.

Thanks lovely people.

I have ordered a small rug to hide it.

That's one thing sorted from yesterday

Got my first scrap quilt sandwiched today. I managed to use 2 left over bits of fleece on the back : a central section with yellow and grey elephant pattern and 2 strips of pale blue fleece down each side. I made it with a few centimetres to spare. :D
Also found a square of wadding, which was only slightly bigger than the top,  so a great use of left overs, which seems appropriate for a scrap quilt. I then started quilting it , but have stopped now to start making dinner. I’ll post a pic when it’s finished and ready for Project Linus.

Thank you @realale that fabric is in fact sashing.
It was the backing of the Kaffe Fasset quilt I made
 I'm hoping I have enough fir the border but I very much doubt it

It’s such a cold horrible morning here, that I sat down under a cosy quilt to hand sew the binding on my scrap quilt, so here it is all ready to send to Project Linus. :D It doesn’t look square even though it is, must have taken the photo at a slight angle.
