My Pants for Real People book recommends "Perfect Waistbands" non-roll monofilament nylon waistband interfacing
https://www.palmerpletsch.com/product/waistband-6-yards/
but I don`t think it is available in the UK. Is there anything else which would be similar? Otherwise what do people recommend? I`ve used the Vilene iron-on slotted stuff before but can`t say I`m over-impressed

I have Kenton trimmings book marked for Ban roll
http://www.kentontrimmings.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82_84_207&products_id=415
I’ve not used it, but I think the link came from Morgan on the old site. I don’t know how it compares to peters ham, but I agree the Vilene slotted waistband is rubbish for folding during wear.

Petersham should work fine. Not sure if ban rol would wear through fabric after a while. It's very stiff and quite harsh.

Is Petersham what most people would use for trouser waistbands? If so, do you have a favourite supplier?

I went on-line to see if I could find a UK stockist for monofilament nylon waistband interfacing as recommended for McCall's M6901 and the Pants for Real People book and a link to this thread popped up
Does anyone have advice for what to get instead?
@sewingj
what did you finally use please?

Sorry to have raised embarrassing memories
@sewingj
I just thought you might be the one person I 'knew' who had found an answer.

I bought some from Celia Banks when I did a class with her, the website is
www.sew-fundamental.co.uk
, and I think she runs classes at Bambers.
