She's lovely, so envious
I wish the old ladies could talk. I have two 28k handcranks, from the beginning of the 20th century. I've often thought of writing a short story of the life of a sewing machine as seen through it's eyes.
Thank you
She was a total impulse purchase, I wasn't looking for a sewing machine at all, I was browsing in a bored moment and there she was
I think no one had noticed her because she was in a totally non-sewing category. I agonised for the hour left and no one bid so, at the last my finger slipped
and popped in the opening bid - I got her for
less than £50
I was amazed!!! It will be baked beans for every meal for a few weeks but I don't mind, I'm just so happy!
Note to self: must, must, must keep away from eBay!!!
I think a story written from the machine's viewpoint would be lovely, I'm sure one of the sewing magazines would be delighted to publish it
