Singer buttonhole attachment 86662?

I saw this in a local antique shop and wondered if all the necessary parts are there?  It will fit my 99K and 221K and possibly my 201K.  Don't know whether to buy it or not. Can anyone advise, please?   :) :vintage:

I can't tell you whether it's complete, but I definitely think you should buy it if it is!

@Roger is a buttonholer expert (although others are available on TSP!)
I might look as though I'm talking to you, but inside my head I'm sewing.

Thanks @Acorn I asked if they would hang on until I checked it was ok and he did! :)  I read a bit about it and found that some models need cams for the different sizes but not this one, so I assume it can be adjusted for each size.  :) :vintage:

It looks to be complete - there is a long thumb screw in the photo, you need that to attach it.  There is also a plate to cover the feed dogs, but certainly on a 201 you can drop them so not needed, and I think they drop on th e99 too.

Those models don't have cams - there is a screw on the left to adjust the length and two smaller screws on the right; one to adjust the closeness of the zig-zag, the pointer will move between L for wide spaced zig-zag, through M (medium) to S (small spacing).  The other adjusts the bight, ie the width of the zig-zag.  The big screw/wingnut is to move the whole thing through its cycle so that you can start right at the end of the buttonhole and position the needle in the right place.

yeah, I agree with Brenda, it all looks like its there, no cams required and it only does a straight buttonhole of very variable dimensions, so no cams required!

It will also fit the 201.  They work on any low shank models.  I use these on my 66 treadle, as well.
